Kolkata-based fashion designer Anamika Khanna closed the final day of FDCI India Couture Week 2022 with an exquisite collection titled An Experiment which was all about toying with different designs and silhouettes. And to close the show, she had none other than the dandy boy of Bollywood Rajkummar Rao, who walked on the ramp in a black blazer teamed with flared pants and an elaborate necklace adding to his look.
Be it her menswear or womenswear, everything was immaculate and the designer did a lot of quirky things with denim. The designer amalgamated something old with something new. The ornate detailing done on the modern silhouettes looked splendid.
The shapes were inspired by the Goddess paired with deconstruction and pattern-making techniques. The collection also drew references from exuberant tribal India and gave it a modern spin.
The color palette varied starting with sombre blacks, delicate lace in ivory to powerful reds and emeralds. There were metallics and pearls that added more sheen to the whole collection.
