When Andy Warhol first painted a picture of the ABSOLUT bottle, he wouldnt have imagined that he was triggering off a creative revolution. By 1988, a number of artists had featured the bottle in their works. Till date, the collection of contemporary art includes the works of more than 400 artists. The bottle found expression not just in painting, but also in photography, sculpture, glass, wood work, folk art, computer/digital art and every other medium imaginable.
Some of the most famous international designers such as Tom Ford, Versace, Stella McCartney and Jean-Paul Gaultier make fashion pieces for ABSOLUT.
In India, ABSOLUT showcased its very first collaboration with creative design with Manish Arora at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. Manish Arora with his penchant for dramatic colours and an innovative, quirky edge to his work, is the perfect fit to action the ABSOLUT creative movement in India, said Bikram Basu, Vice President, Marketing, Pernod Ricard India. Manish Arora added, ABSOLUT stands as a design icon in the world of brands, and its an honour for me to collaborate and create my inspiration for ABSOLUT. Seeing so many artists give expression to their imagination is an ABSOLUT delight.
