Pearls, a crown, and a royal chaos

The Cannes red carpet of 2026 may have seen countless couture gowns, but none can match the maximalist quotient of Urvashi Rautela. For her second red carpet appearance, she brought pearls and unapologetic drama with her and made heads turn in a stunning Tasmim Zobaear couture gown, which looked straight out of a royal fantasy. But it wasn’t just her gown that was throwing her fit, but also a beautiful Judith Leiber clutch, which had a Princess Diana twist.

Dramatic with a pearlcore edge

Urvashi wore a halter-neck gown by Tasmim Zobaear from her Spring/Summer 2026 collection, which featured a plunging neckline with intricate crystal detailing and a flowy, fitted bodice that was covered with crystals, pearls, and shimmery embellishments. The voluminous, floor-length, dramatic skirt with layered drapes on the sides gave it a theatrical finish.

The peach-pearl setup

What made the ensemble stand out was the rich and intricate work of pearls, which gave the gown a sculpted look. With a peach base, the shiny, glamorous pearls looked more grand and iconic while lending a soft and feminine appeal. This bold red carpet look is truly made for the royals, and Urvashi made the point that she’s, of course, Bollywood royalty. But the true royal look was added with her crown-clutch moment.

The ultimate star of the show

Urvashi carried a crystal-studded Crown Diana clutch from Judith Leiber, which instantly became one of the most talked-about elements of her look. This royal glam-inspired piece is a statement pick, inspired by Princess Diana, and is priced at $5,995, which is around Rs 5 lakh. Urvashi elegantly flaunted the stunning clutch and knew exactly how it elevated her entire look.

Next came her over-the-top styling

Urvashi has no space for the work ‘minimal’ in her fashion playbook. To complete the look, she wore a pair of statement diamond earrings by Amayra Jewels PK and opted for a glowing base, bold winged eyeliner, voluminous eyelashes, nude glossy lips, and soft curled tendrils which swiftly framed her face. Well, the maximalist queen did ring a bell with her second red-carpet appearance at Cannes and truly owned every bit of it.
