This festive season, glam it up with smokey eyes…
These actresses are rocking the classic smokey-eyes look and how!
So you are stepping out with your girlfriends in a gorgeous outfit for Diwali and the look you are inclining towards is this: nude lips, winged liner, big hair and tons of confidence. Wrong! If you thought dark, smokey eyes are only for the evening gowns, then you are clearly mistaken. From Sonam Kapoor and Neha Dhupia to Janhvi Kapoor and Disha Patani, these celebs are teaming the smokey do with their sarees and suits, nailing it too!
While most people go for a cleaner face and lips and let their glammed up eyes do the talking, others prefer to vroom at full throttle and settle with bold eyes plus bold lips.

And then are those who amp up the glam quotient with coloured smoked over look: teals, lilacs and magentas are a hot favourite with Bolly babes, just FYI. Traditional or experimental, It’s all about how you carry the look, really!
“The smokey-eye look is no longer restricted to just western outfits and cocktail parties. People are going all out with the heavy eye-do look with their anarkalis and patialas and of course, sarees. Start the process with a dark-hued shadow or a liner, blend it into the shadow. For a complete look, apply on the lower lash line and then smudge out with fingers for a smokier finish,” says Neeti Sinha, make-up expert and grooming expert.
GET THEM TALKING; HERE'S HOW...
1) Apply the second shade (or middle shade as some like to call it) on your eyelid but not up to the eyebrow,
2) Fill the inner corners of you eyes with the lightest shade from the family of colours you are opting for and blend it with the middle shade,
3) Go ahead and take your darkest shade out and fill the outer corners of your eyes without blending it with the other two shades, and
4) Blend your shadows with a brush, do the brows and add some mascara to complete the look.
