Pearls, poise, and pure cinema

Tara Sutaria made her debut at the Cannes Film Festival in an unmistakably timeless ensemble. With no loud theatrics and overdone gimmicks, she took us back in time and stepped out of a black-and-white Hollywood frame. Draped in elegance with her signature old-money aura, she brought back memories of the Hollywood icon Audrey Hepburn and allowed her natural grace and confidence to do all the talking.

In satin and sophistication

The actress stepped out in a striking black-and-white knee-length midi dress from Helsa Studio. It featured a strapless silhouette with a stylish sweetheart neckline with white detailing against a full black bodice. What stood out was the delicate lace detailing under the voluminous black silk charm with crisp poplin accents, which elevated the attire in seconds. Fitted around the waistline, the flared detailing of the bottom truly made the ensemble look like a feminine dream.

A grand staircase moment

Tara is known for her old money aesthetics, where she mostly refrains from bling and sequins and believes in minimalism and functionality. She brought this essence to Cannes as well and styled the look with a pair of golden pearl-drop earrings, which added just the right amount of drama, and not for a second did it compete with the gown.

Retro screen makeup on the go

On the beauty front, she stayed committed to her old-Hollywood mood and went for a dewy foundation base with fluttery eyelashes, side-parted hair, soft curled detailing, and nude matte lipstick. In an age of chaotic red carpet fashion, her appearance stood as a refreshing ode to old-school glam, where pearls, poise, and effortless femininity won the show.
