Sushmita Sen definitely slayed in Amit Aggarwal’s remodelled dress from 2014’s Fashion Week

From becoming the first South Asian woman to win the Miss Universe crown to standing as a bold fashion icon in the Bollywood fraternity, the diva impresses us all every time she steps out in town. Since her universal victory in 1994, Sush has garnered attention and established herself as a trailblazer and is known for her graceful demeanour and inspiring journey.

Mastering the art of elegance and versatility, she recently nailed a repurposed outfit created by the fashion maestro Amit Aggarwal. The diva attended a fashion event in Mumbai, where her stunningly repurposed vintage wear captured the essence of the mid-2000s fashion week.

Picked from the 2014 Fashion Week gallery of Amit Aggarwal, Sushmita Sen added a touch of modish 'ringarde' in a nude-layer mesh-finish attire, designed over a raw black fabric with thin statement stripes.


Featuring a light layer in full sleeves, she revamped the floor-length gown into a bodycon fit with statement single flares of ball gown-style cape added from the waist. Sushmita further enhanced the show with a black belt that held the spick and span of the dress and had thick black stripes in a horizontal pattern.


The intricate structuring made the fit look confusing yet unique and perfectly captured the futuristic essence, keeping it classy with a French touch. She powerfully flaunted a little black velvet beret with a mysterious black mesh veil over her face and beautifully left her wavy locks down.

Ditching statement accessories, Sen fashioned her statement diamond ring and kept a heavy glam makeup base with sharply contoured jawline, highlighted cheekbones, and a perfect flirty blend of cheek tint and bronzer.


Accentuating her eyes with smokey eyeshadow, mascara, kohl, and eyeliner touches, the actress kept glossy brown lips and channelled her inner French vintage diva, living her life in the 21st fashion century.
