Sreeleela brings back India’s lost textile in a show-stopping Torani saree with a contemporary twist

We live in an era where fashion constantly chases something new. Some designers and their muses still manage to step back in time and bring a piece of history. Tollywood actress Sreeleela is one of them, who captured our attention in a stunning floral Torani sari, which was not just visually arresting but also a quiet ode to one of India's ‘lost’ or ‘forgotten’ textiles.

Stepping away from glittery embellishments, Sreeleela chose a lighter route, wearing Torani’s Coromandel Pravya saree. It featured an ivory base with a georgette cut and iconic floral chintz-inspired prints dipped in reds, blues, and softer earthy tones. It also carried larger-than-life botanical motifs alongside the border with small florals scattered all across the main body.

The layered border seemed busy but not chaotic, featuring another multicoloured stripe detailing sitting elegantly with the floral band, while a dotted panel went along a scalloped edge, which looked aesthetically vintage. She teamed this stunning look with a matching white halter-neck blouse, printed with minute florals and narrow stripes.



She ditched the heavy jewellery charm and simply wore a pair of ear cuffs decorated with pearls and coloured stones. Leaving her hair down in loose and straight locks, she opted for a dewy makeup touch with highlighted kohl eyes, mascara-laden lashes, and soft nude lipstick.

Rendering in romantic florals and signature Torani nostalgia, this ensemble blurs the line between modern-day glamour and echoes a vintage memory. She didn’t just make a fashion statement; she made a cultural one, proving the most iconic trends are the ones that are almost forgotten.
