Sonam Bajwa dips in a sea of sequins in this ivory Chikankari saree, hijacking the ‘Border 2’ celebrations
With over Rs 400 crore in box office collections, ‘Border 2’ stood out as the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2026, and for all good reasons. Well cheered and supported by the Indian audience, the team of the film came together on Monday to celebrate, where the flashes and paparazzi could only capture Sonam Bajwa’s glam notes on the red carpet.
Hijacking the fashion scene like anything, she delivered the night’s most quietly commanding fashion moment and stood out with grace, just like she did in the film. Essaying the role of Manjit Kaur, the wife of Diljit Dosanjh in the film, she made sure to charm her fans with her scintillating look.
The diva made heads turn in an ivory Chikankari saree from Anjul Bhandari’s collection, which featured intricate hand embroidery and a traditional border embedded with precious gemstones and tassels around the border. Carrying the monotone aesthetic in ethnics like anything, she teamed the look with a sleeveless blouse that came with a princess-cut neckline and an adorable retro-style bow at the back.
On the makeup front, Sonam opted for a dewy, trendy foundation base with dollops of blush on the cheeks, defined eyebrows, winged strokes of eyeliner, and heavy strokes of mascara. Topping things up with shimmer-muted eyeshadow and peach-tinted lips, she left her soft curls down and added an overall oomph factor with her confident attitude.
For her accessories, she tried keeping things minimal and wore a pair of stud earrings from The Emerald House Jewels and picked a matching pair of shimmery high heels. Looking every bit stunning, she made this ensemble feel like a royal costume that is meant for women who love and endure sitting in old-world charm aesthetics with a quiet luxury touch.
From promoting the film in iconic, fashionable looks to celebrating the success in soft power play hues, she proved that in an era where viral fashion often hinges on shock value, subtle styling now feels rebellious but beautiful, and she indeed earned every moment of attention.
