Sobhita Dhulipala’s wedding to Naga Chaitanya was a grand celebration that captivated everyone with its extravagance and her divine bridal look. Embracing her Telugu heritage, Sobhita chose a traditional pattu cheera saree, designed by renowned couturier Neeta Lulla, the same designer behind Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s iconic wedding ensemble. Her saree, an exquisite antique gold Kanjeevaram silk drape with real gold zari, featured intricate motifs showcasing the rich artistry of traditional craftsmanship.

Adding a personal touch, Sobhita handpicked the fabric from authentic local shops, reflecting her deep connection to her roots and commitment to authenticity.

Sobhita complemented her saree with maximalist jewellery that epitomised Telugu bridal traditions. Her accessories included a basikam (forehead ornament), maathapatti, bullaki (nose pin), a three-layered gold necklace, chunky kadhas, and an elegant bajubandh. Each piece added a regal aura to her bridal look while celebrating her cultural heritage. Her flawless makeup, featuring golden eyeshadow, sharp eyeliner, and chocolate-toned lipstick, perfectly enhanced her radiant complexion, while her sleek tied-up hairdo brought a modern touch to her traditional attire.

Neeta Lulla’s creations are known for their exquisite craftsmanship and customisation, with prices ranging from INR 30,000 to INR 2.15 lakh, though Sobhita’s heavily customised saree likely exceeded these estimates. The design bore similarities to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s iconic wedding saree, which reportedly cost several crores, though the designer herself downplayed the claims, calling it a simple Kanjeevaram with zari work.

Her dedication to preserving cultural authenticity while embracing her individual style stood out, leaving an indelible impression on bridal fashion enthusiasts. Sobhita’s look will undoubtedly inspire brides for years to come.
