From stadium star to style queen: Smriti Mandhana’s jumpsuit look is going viral

Smriti Mandhana doesn’t just smash records on the cricket field, she’s quietly becoming a style star too. Lately, the opener has been showing up to events looking like she walked straight out of a fashion editorial, and her latest look has the internet doing double takes. She turned up in a stunning jumpsuit and made it look like the most natural thing in the world. No fuss, no drama - just clean, confident glamour.

Outfit details

The outfit was a Tarun Tahiliani creation, styled by celebrity stylist Bornali Caldeiraa. The designer shared pictures of Smriti in the look and it’s safe to say fans instantly understood why it belongs in the “save to moodboard” category.

The jumpsuit itself is crafted in a foil-finish jersey fabric and done in a soft ivory-gold tone - that shade which sits somewhere between subtle and celebratory. It comes with a bold plunging neckline, an open back, and side cut-outs that frame the waist without looking over the top. The embroidered detailing around the midriff adds a gentle sparkle with pearls and sequins, so it glows under light but doesn’t scream for attention. The lower half flows into dramatically flared trousers that fall all the way to the floor, giving that long, fluid, waterfall-like movement when she stands or walks.

The price

If you’re wondering what it costs - the piece is listed on Tarun Tahiliani’s official website and is priced at ₹63,100.

4/5

The styling

Smriti kept the styling refreshingly simple. No over-accessorising, no layering, just a few elegant pieces, dangler earrings, a bracelet and a ring, letting the jumpsuit do most of the talking. Her hair was left open in soft waves, side-parted, the kind of styling that looks relaxed but polished at the same time.

5/5

The makeup

Her makeup followed the same vibe. Soft brows, brown-toned eyeshadow, mascara-coated lashes, a hint of blush and a rosy lip colour, with just enough highlighter to catch the light, nothing too heavy, just fresh, glowing skin.

On the pitch, she plays with power. Off it, she’s clearly leaning into understated luxury. And honestly, she pulls off both with equal ease.
