Pooja Hegde's vintage silk saree is a heartfelt tribute to her grandmother

Pooja Hegde’s love for ethnic outfits is no secret and her silk saree collection is seriously next level. Looking every bit the South Indian beauty, she recently dropped some gorgeous photos on social media, dressed in a classic silk saree that was all kinds of sentimental. She even shared that it reminded her of her grandma, and honestly, we’re a little emotional too. Let’s break down her dreamy vintage look!

Pooja picked a stunning colour combo of green and violet - super retro and super glam. Her saree had tiny gold checks all over it, giving it just the right amount of sparkle. And get this: it’s a 70-year-old vintage piece pulled straight from her family closet! She also shared how it instantly took her back to memories of her ‘Ajji’ (grandmother) and the beautiful Kanjivaram sarees she used to wear.


The saree came with a gorgeous wide violet border, complete with intricate gold designs. Pooja styled it in the most effortless way, letting the pallu fall casually over her shoulder. She paired it with a violet blouse featuring a round neckline and slightly puffed sleeves, keeping the vibe super old-school yet elegant.


Going all out with the vintage feels, she posed barefoot for the shoot. In her caption, she talked about how the look reminded her of the smell of fresh mallige (jasmine flowers) at home and the earthy scent after the first rains. So wholesome, right?

As for accessories, Pooja kept it minimal but on point, a layered gold choker, simple earrings, stacks of green bangles, and pretty flower details on her wrist and in her hair. She even added a little bindi for that perfect traditional finish.
