Red Sabyasachi bride meets emerald-layered groom: Kuldeep Yadav’s Mussoorie wedding is peak royal wedding fashion

While most of the cricket world was focused on the field, Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav was busy hitting a personal milestone. On March 14, he officially tied the knot with Vanshika Chadha in the kind of wedding people dream about - an intimate, mist-covered ceremony in the hills of Mussoorie.

But beyond the scenic backdrop, it was the fashion that really stole the show. Vanshika joined the ranks of the iconic "Sabyasachi Brides," and her look was a masterclass in how to do traditional red without feeling dated.

The bridal look: A Sabyasachi Masterpiece

Vanshika chose a head-turning red chevron-embroidered lehenga set by Sabyasachi. If you know Sabya, you know it’s all about the texture. The lehenga featured that signature heritage feel, with the chevron patterns giving it a rhythmic, modern flow, while the heavy gold zardozi work kept it rooted in old-world royalty.

She styled it with a classic draped dupatta over her head, creating that timeless bridal silhouette that feels both regal and deeply personal.

The sparkle: Kundan and emeralds

You can't have a Sabyasachi lehenga without jewelry that can hold its own. Vanshika went for high-drama Kundan, wearing a massive statement necklace, matching earrings, and a maang tikka that sat perfectly against her sleek bun.

Kuldeep, not to be outdone, looked incredibly sharp in a tailored ivory embroidered sherwani. He broke up the neutral tones with a gold pagdi and a stunning layered emerald and diamond necklace. The pop of green against the ivory was a genius move—it gave him a majestic, groom-worthy finish without competing with Vanshika’s vibrant red.

Soft glam for a hill-station wedding

Because the outfit was so detailed, Vanshika’s makeup was kept remarkably fresh. She went with a "polished-meets-soft" vibe:

Eyes: Softly smoked nude tones with just a hint of shimmer.

Lips: A muted nude shade to keep the focus on her jewelry.

Hair: A sleek, middle-parted bun that let her maang tikka and earrings do the talking.

Why it felt so special

The wedding felt less like a celebrity PR event and more like a private family moment. By choosing Mussoorie, the couple traded the flashbulbs of Mumbai for the quiet beauty of the mountains. It was the perfect setting for a bride in a heritage red Sabyasachi and a groom in royal ivory to start their new chapter.
