How Hina Khan recreated Deepika Padukone’s ‘Shanti Priya’ look for this festive season

Bollywood sensation Deepika Padukone has constantly managed to wow her fans with her on-screen prowess. It has been a splendid 18 years since she first made her big mark on the screen as Shantipriya in ‘Om Shanti Om’. Starting her journey with a bang, her dream desi pink outfit with winged liner and a stunning trail left an impeccable fashion mark, which still carries a magical aura.

Recently, Indian television’s queen Hina Khan managed to carry this iconic look at an event and surely took us back in time. Giving a perfect style lesson on how to make heads turn in this Shantipriya attire, Hina walked the red carpet in the same pink traditional costume with matching accessories and the 70s dramatic hair and makeup.



Dressed in a short fitted kurta in peplum style with full-length sleeves and a U-neckline, her look featured silver thread roses with subtle detailing around the border, which perfectly matched Deepika's OG look. Further uplifting the fit with a flared long skirt and plain dupatta, she candidly waved at the cameras just like Shantipriya, making us fall in love with the character all over again.


But she did not just stop there. Hina wore a floral motif silver choker necklace with matching earrings inspired by the real look and created a dramatic 70s hairdo with a sleek middle parting at the front and a voluminous bun effect at the back. Adding a couple of pink roses, she left us mesmerised and added a hint of bling with her on-fleek makeup.

Carrying a clear and glowing base, Hina Khan decorated her eyes with fluttery lashes, winged eyeliner, a hint of kohl, and a shade of soft pink eyeshadow. Painting her lips with a mauve pink hue, she swiped brush strokes dipped in a pink base over her cheeks and blended it neatly with her highlighter.
