The red carpet of Oscars 2022 not only saw some of the choicest of gowns and dresses but also became a podium for some shocking experiments to be showcased in front of the world. While some were appreciated for the thought behind them, some creations were totally panned by the fashion police for being too bizarre or lacking style required for such a reputed red carpet. Her dress was so bad, it became a meme! Yes, American actress and filmmaker Margalit 'Maggie' Ruth Gyllenhaal wore a rather experimental gown for the red carpet and it no time she was reduced to a meme by netizens. She wore a custom-made T-shaped black gown with golden buttons by Schiaparelli. Some even compared it to Minecraft's Steve!

She did a fab job as an Oscar presenter, but her blue V-neck dress with a gold bow reminded many of Christmas.

Many compared the silver pleated gown of 'The Lost Daughter' actress with the living room curtain. The 48-year-old wore a Dior gown with pleats and dramatic sleeves. The fashion police called it a very old-fashion pick for the 2022 red carpet.

The popular makeup artist left many shocked as she walked in looking like a "loofah", well that's what people said on Twitter! She wore a grey-tiered and voluminous top with super tight leather leggings, along with gummy boots.

Reinsve wore a cream-and-black strappy dress from the house of Louis Vuitton, but looked like a very goth-inspired look. She finished off the look with a silver chain and black stilettos. Many netizens called the look creepy!

Tracee wore an orange gown with breast cups which reminded many of Disney's Mickey Mouse. Well, it was a failed attempt to look sexy!
