Kajol’s saree looks require a separate Pinterest moodboard!

As Indians gear up for the wedding season of 2025, brides, bridesmaids, and even mothers are decking out their wardrobes with stunning and statement ethnic pieces that are worth stealing the spotlight. While the bride and bridesmaids follow trends and contemporary looks, our mothers and mothers-in-law are also not far behind, making their best attempt to shine in the wedding crowd.
Have you ever thought about who they might be seeking inspiration from? It’s none other than the evergreen Kajol, who always manages to make the fashion scene about her and exude elegance mixed with sass. Here are five alluring saree looks from her wardrobe that will make you the coolest mom in the wedding room.

Kajol Devgan in a Manish Malhotra gilded handwoven tissue saree

Whenever Kajol joins hands with designer Manish Malhotra, you can expect something extraordinary, and this time, the duo once again proved their prowess, making everything look better and more beautiful. She wore a half-and-half masterpiece draped in an almost liquid shimmer saree, woven with golden tissue, where the pallu and rich brocade detailing stole the show.
The two fabrics perfectly complemented each other, and the intricate hand-embroidered vintage zardozi border added yet another powerful element. She completed the look with a matching high-neckline blouse, which came with uncut crystals embellished around the collar, blending couture with heirloom artistry.

Kajol’s red vibrant Banarasi is a couture love letter crafted by Anita Dongre

Kajol has redefined Durga Puja fashion goals over the years, where the diva is often seen in stunning saree fits that deserve a whole different fashion board. During one of these celebrations, she draped a sensational Banarasi saree from Anita Dongre’s eponymous label, which came with a hefty price tag of ₹75,000.
The gorgeous red drape featured golden floral embroidery and a statement border with mirror detailing on the sides, paired with a matching modish thin-strap blouse. With its gleaming, broad border and scattered floral motifs, this stunning red drape personified elegance and perfectly matched her chic personality.

Looking flawless as always, she stepped out like a vibrant sunflower and turned a promotional event into a fashion runway and we are absolutely not complaining. The diva made heads turn in a radiant yellow georgette saree by Devnaagri, featuring hand-painted floral motifs that instantly elevated the figure-hugging drape.
It was amplified with zari embroidery on the pallu and base and completed with a satin patti. She paired it with a matching sleeveless blouse that featured a hand-painted striped Chanderi base, drenched in the same shade.

Kajol’s floral organza drape exudes 90s fall grace

If you're in tropical climates this winter and attending a wedding, add this beautiful organza drape to your momager’s closet. The diva wore a statement organza saree that exuded a 90s star vibe with a romantic edge. Her peach and pink drape was adorned with bold blooms and foliage in contrasting yellow, orange, and green hues.
The lustrous saree featured a floral zari border, which she paired with a pink brocade blouse featuring a subtle sleeveless design and scoop neckline. Draping it in a traditional Bengali style, she let the pallu fall gracefully over her shoulder, creating a mesmerising ethnic canvas perfect for the wedding run.

Kajol’s vibrant chiffon drape looks straight out of a Yash Chopra film

We simply can’t get over Kajol and her love for sarees, as she once again wowed us in a lovely all-pink chiffon look. Draping a Punit Balana creation, she embraced the desi Barbiecore trend like a queen. This gulabi gulal saree featured customised silver embroidery with statement applique work.
She wore an embellished blouse in the same shade with a round neckline and exuded retro charm with her classic bun-styled hairdo. Elevating the look with chunky jewellery, her style isn’t just for fashionable mothers, it’s perfect for all age groups.
