Who wore what to Durga Puja 2025

Durga Puja is never just about the rituals — in India, it’s a heady blend of tradition, community, food, music, and of course, fashion. Every year, Bollywood stars add their glamour to the celebrations, turning the pandals into mini red carpets. This festive season, 2025, was no different. From Priyanka Chopra’s regal elegance to Alia Bhatt’s understated grace, our leading ladies gave us a masterclass in how to dress for pujo without losing sight of heritage.

2/6

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra made heads turn at this year’s North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja hosted by the Mukerji family, stepping out in a striking ultramarine blue suit that broke from the traditional reds and golds. The ensemble, a Seher Tunic Set by Sobariko was crafted from pure silk with woven Benarasi details on the yoke, sleeves, and back, paired with matching pants with brocade accents near the hem. She draped an organza dupatta with brocade finish, tied her hair into a neat centre-parted bun, wore bold silver earrings, and added subtle festive makeup to complete the look.

3/6

Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt brought her brand of youthful charm to the pandal in a pastel organza sari with delicate floral embroidery. She kept the look soft and minimal with just a pair of jhumkas and a tiny bindi. The actor, who often chooses subtle elegance over bling, stayed true to her style philosophy, looking festive yet fuss-free, a perfect option for millennial and Gen Z pujo-goers.

4/6

Rani Mukherji

Rani Mukerji set the Durga Puja 2025 pandal abuzz in a show-stopper red saree by House of Masaba’s festive “Varakh” collection, a look that married drama and tradition effortlessly. The silk foil-printed saree, with its bold red base and metallic shine, featured delicate zari bird motifs that fluttered across the drape. Rani kept the rest of her styling elegantly minimal: fine gold jewellery, a striking statement bindi, and her hair pulled back neatly so all eyes stayed on that gleaming six-yard wonder. The overall vibe? Regal, rooted, and radiant, just the right kind of festive glam.

5/6

Bipasha Basu

Bipasha Basu lit up the pandal in a traditional white-and-red saree, a style synonymous with Durga Puja. With sindoor in her hair parting, a chunky gold necklace, and her trademark bright smile, she embodied the spirit of the festival. Bipasha’s look was all about embracing her culture with full passion and joy.

Right touch of glamour

This year’s pujo pandal fashion wasn’t about trend-chasing, it was about revisiting roots. While Priyanka and Kajol went the regal, traditional route, Alia gave us the pastel update, and Bipasha kept it classic. Together, the Bollywood divas reminded us that festive style is at its best when it honours culture, feels personal, and adds just the right touch of glamour.
