Fresh pop of colour with a contemporary ode

Over the years, Aditi Rao Hydari has mastered the art of turning less into more with her beautiful ethnic vision. She recently turned a serene palace darshan into a full-blown moment with her striking lime-green sari, picked from the shelves of the label Raw Mango. Bringing a hint of balanced tradition with a modern quiet luxury moment, she made sure her look wasn’t loud, but at the same time, it was impossible to ignore.

Decoding this quiet luxury moment

Her saree was crafted with luminous silk, which looked mesmerising because of the intricate Zardozi embroidery and delicately woven motifs that further added a clean aesthetic to the traditional drape. She refrained from leaning into heavy embellishments and instead allowed the plain, striking colour to take centre stage for once.

Echoes of royalty

She matched its aura with a sophisticated V-neckline blouse featuring elbow-length sleeves and further amplified the look with minimal jewellery and soft natural makeup. She simply wore a choker-style necklace carved with multi-coloured stones and added a big silver stud earring with another dangling one on her second ear piercing. But what looked absolutely fierce were her round bugadi earrings, which she wore on the upper edge of her ear, giving a core-traditional spin.

Hair and makeup goals

Instead of leaning towards heavy layers of makeup, she focused on flaunting her naturally glowing skin and opted for muted lipstick, eyeshadow, and blush. Leaving her hair down in straight, sleek finesse, she gave us a perfect dressing moment, which is equally suited for daytime celebrations and also for intimate weddings.

She felt the luxury

This stunning look came from her recent trip to Gwalior, where Aditi and her husband/actor Sidharth were invited by the region’s royal family, the Scindias. Amidst food, laughter, heritage, and history, she rewrote the styling notes of royalty and made the vibrant lime green shade a perfect addition to the royal family.
