Your guide to nail the airport look in winter
Airport look is no longer a term just applicable to celebs on social media. For almost everyone today the airport look post is a way to announce to the world that they are headed for a holiday. But getting this look right in winter, especially if you are headed for beach destinations, can be tricky. Designers and fashion influencers consider right layering as the key to getting an airport look right in winter. And when it comes to styling the winter look, one can take some inspiration from celebs like Sonam Kapoor
Ahuja and Deepika Padukone, “who are mostly flawless when it comes to their airport looks,” says designer Shruti Sancheti.
Choose a spacious handbag
Not paying enough attention to accessories, especially bags, is the most common mistake that people tend to make. Shares digital content creator Spreha Chatterjee, “Not choosing accessories to go with your look is the most common mistake. Carry a comfortable bag with enough space for your phone and documents.” Digital content creator Deviya Singh Choudhary adds, “A comfortable bag is a must to carry all your essentials.”
Comfort first
“Sonam Kapoor Ahuja recently aced the airport look in a beige dress worn with an overcoat. I think, while travelling in winter, the focus should be on being comfortable while looking chic,” says designer Shruti Sancheti.
Sneakers over boots
You may think of boots as an obvious choice while dressing up in winter, but they aren’t ideal for airports. “Sneakers are the best choice for travel. One can also go for sandals and socks as they can be easily removed
during security checks,” says designer Aniket Satam. Content creator Madhur Mahulkar adds, “Avoid wearing footwear with intricate straps or boots without zippers if you want to save time and effort.”
Go for sweats
Say no to excessive layering
Layer smartly, not excessively. Designer Anushree Parekh says, “Avoid excessive layering. Layer your classics, such as a trench coat and leather jackets over a lighter outfit.”
