The world can't stop discussing Indian brides, thanks to their grand weddings and classic ensembles and one fashion designer, who seems to have become the most coveted wedding outfit designer is none other than Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

Meet the bride

Riya Patel, an Indian settled in America stunned in Sabyasachi's famous creation, the Dil Guldasta lehenga. The bride finished off her look with a heavy polki and emerald choker in gold, matching earrings and a maang tikka from Sabyasachi Jewelry. Her lehenga also featured a belt with the classic panther logo which is synonymous with Sabyasachi creations.

The lehenga

The Dil Guldasta lehenga worn by Riya was first worn by Deepika on her post wedding Sindhi reception hosted Ranveer's sister Ritika Bhavnani in Mumbai. According to the designer, the idea of this lehenga came to him when he was shopping for carpets for his new home. "An antique dealer showed me a stunning carpet called the ‘Dil-guldasta’, which loosely translated means ‘the heart is a bouquet.’ It was vivid and rich; strongly romantic, yet richly evil; full of lush blooms in shades of madder, burgundy and rose. The carpet was not for sale as someone else had already beaten me to it. I was obsessed with it for the longest time till I decided to exorcise my demons by creating a lehenga with the idea of it," claimed Sabyasachi.

The groom

The dapper groom Ankur Patel looked suave in an all green sherwani by Sabyasachi. The outfit featured a quilted long coat with gold buttons. He teamed it up with matching churidars, a green safa (a tied turban), brown moccasins from Sabyasachi Accessories, a gold necklace and round glasses.

The wedding

The grand wedding took place at picturesque National Golf Course, Palos Verdes, California, a public golf club in Los Angeles owned by The Trump Organization.
