At a press conference on Friday afternoon, Nicole Kidman expressed her feelings of “exposure, vulnerability, and fear” as she anticipated the world premiere of her new erotic thriller Babygirl. However, any hint of these emotions was nowhere to be seen when the Oscar-winning actress stepped onto the red carpet later that night at the Palazzo del Cinema in Venice.

Kidman exuded confidence and glamour as she faced a sea of photographers, journalists, and enthusiastic fans. She turned heads in a striking couture creation by Daniel Roseberry for Schiaparelli. The avant-garde ensemble featured a nude organza corset bustier intricately embroidered with black sequins, cascading into dramatic black fringes. This stunning piece was paired with a flowing black velvet skirt and matching stilettos. The crowd erupted in cheers as Kidman made her entrance, embodying the elegance and poise of a true movie star.On the red carpet, Kidman shared a warm embrace with her director, Halina Reijn, who was dressed in a striking white cape. Co-star Harris Dickinson looked sharp in a suit by Bottega Veneta, while actress Sophie Wilde made a dramatic statement in a custom Loewe creation, complete with a black silk veil.

Babygirl, written and directed by Reijn, explores the life of Romy, a high-powered CEO in New York who jeopardizes her career and family for a passionate affair with a younger intern. Kidman plays the role of Romy, who has never experienced true pleasure with her loving husband, portrayed by Antonio Banderas. Dickinson plays the intern, Samuel, while Wilde stars as Esme, Romy’s assistant. The film, produced by A24, is set to be released on December 25.
