- Fashion to me is
Comfort. I feel that if you are comfortable you can just rock the look even if you are wearing a normal denim, T-shirt and sneakers.
-5 essentials of a woman’s wardrobe
Blue denims, white shirt, black stilletos, a set of colourful ganjis and lots of scarves.
-My everyday outfit...
Ganji with loose linen pants. In winter, it’s sweater and a pair of jeans.
-My shopping strategy
I do not spend a lot of money on buying clothes. I believe in sustainability. I reuse my clothes in some way or the other. Since fashion keeps changing there is no point in investing a bomb on clothes.
-Favourite style trick
If I have a solid-colour dress, I would pair it with a jacket or I would wear a T-shirt over the dress which makes it look like a crop top and a skirt – so, one dress could be worn in different ways.
-A trend I hate
Ripped denims. I believe that denims need to be worn in the original classic way.
-A trend I love
Boot-cut denims is my favourite. It is a vintage style and I am glad it’s back. These fit well and enhance your body type and structure.
-Biggest fashion blunder I have committed
I was running late and I forgot to zip up my kurta – and I realised it when I got back home!
-My style philosophy
Opt for bright colours. The colours create a certain kind of aura.
-A fashion advice I swear by
I was really worried about my pear-shaped body and I thought that high-waist skinny denims would not look good on me. But when I wore it, it only enhanced my features. I am glad I took my stylist’s advice on it.
-A skincare/fashion advice that my mom passed on to me
My mother swears by turmeric and I agree with her. Honey and sugar, she says, is the best scrub to apply on the face. When it comes to fashion, my mother says to always make sure I am comfortable in what I am wearing otherwise I won’t be able to give it my 100 per cent.
-Paparazzi is
An opportunity to stardom. Thank them to get the casual look going too.
-My fitness regimen
I always do my TRX and carry it everywhere I go. I also walk a lot and ditch the elevator where I can.
-Your guilty indulgence
White T-shirts and shoes. I’m also obsessed with watches.
A Bollywood star doesn’t need a stylist, as there are so many influencers on
Instagram who can help. Some of the hyper lapse videos where they teach you how to wear a dress in multiple ways is pretty interesting.
