Dresses with an Indian twist...

Pretty paisley prints on flowing boho dresses, colourful tie-and-dye patterns on French silhouettes, bold block stamps on backless LBDs....the party circuit in the city seems to be witnessing a fashion coalition of sorts, what with the lovely ladies glamming themselves up in dresses that bring together the best of varied fashion cultures.
There are multivariate Indian prints that are enjoying a stylish union with western cuts, but paisley seems to be the clear favourite, by quite a margin too.The pattern, that looks like one half of the yin-yang symbol, is enjoying wide popularity thanks to the booming boho culture and celebrities like Nicole Ritchie and Sienna Miller endorsing it. Rightly enough, party-lovin’ fashionistas in the city have caught on to the trend too. But it’s not only the boho babes who’re sporting it, the print has a rock ’n’ roll connect too — remember how John Lennon famously had his Rolls Royce painted paisley?
Tie ’n’ dye is another frontrunner and makes for a stunning look when accessorised right. When it comes to add-ons, keep it earthy and colourful... but have only one statement piece. A simple stole can work as a great accessory too. Block prints on silk is another trend we spotted, but we’d suggest you reserve this one for the more formal occasions.
