Acting or racing?
It's like choosing between a loving mother and a supportive father. I can't pick just one; they're both a part of who I am. In fact, my dream is to merge these two worlds and create a blockbuster movie about women in motorsports and serve the movie buffs some high-speed drama.
What was it like racing in India's first all-women Formula LGB car racing team?
Imagine racing with an incredible group of women, each more amazing than the other. That was my experience with India's first all-women Formula LGB car racing team. I'll never forget my first Formula 4 race – a game-changer. Autocross races, gymkhana races, victories across Bangalore, Mumbai, and even the UK for the Formula Woman Race – it's been a wild ride! Now, I'm gearing up for the Nation's Cup on March 24, 2024, where I'll proudly represent India. It's now time to put India on the motorsports map!
What has been your most memorable experience in Singapore?
That would be savouring seafood with my family, especially the mouth-watering Sambal Lala– a Singaporean cuisine*1. And let's not forget the exhilarating experience at Universal Studios – pure brilliance!
One place you always visit in Singapore and think others should too?
One place you absolutely must visit in Singapore is the Gardens by the Bay. It's like stepping into a magical realm of nature. Imagine a collection of breath-taking trees and plants from all over the world, nurtured in a temperature-controlled wonderland. One day isn't enough to explore this place.
Tell us about one Instagrammable place in Singapore.
Look no further than the iconic Merlion. The Merlion symbolizes Singapore's strength, with its fish-like body representing its origins as a fishing village. And then there's the Rain Vortex – the airport waterfall. It's a marvel to watch. Picture this: One moment it's a gentle mist, and the next, it roars down like a waterfall in full force!
Your favourite place to shop in Singapore?
When it comes to shopping in Singapore, Orchard Road is the shopper’s paradise with top-notch brands and exquisite finds. Bugis Street is the place to be. Trust me; we visited three times! And don't forget Haji Street – a fantastic spot for everyone. Coffee, beer, boba drinks – they've got it all. You'll work up an appetite exploring those delightful food stalls.
What makes the Singapore GP extra special for you?
It's not just a race; it's a history-making, heart-pounding experience! Picture this: 32 corners, one after another, with no breaks in between. The Singapore circuit has rewritten the Formula 1 playbook with its thrilling night races. The streets come alive with lights, creating a magical atmosphere. It's street racing at its finest, and the narrow roads leave little room for overtaking. But Singapore makes it happen. And when overtaking does occur, the crowd goes wild, and the excitement soars to the skies!
How are the racing fans in Singapore different from anywhere else in the world?
Singaporean racing fans are in a league of their own. They bring an extra dose of excitement to the races, making it an unforgettable experience. Cheers, chants, and unbridled enthusiasm – that's the Singaporean way of enjoying motorsports!
