Michael Rosen: 5 fascinating books for children

British author Michael Rosen, 77, is known for writing over 200 books for children and adults. Rosen recently won the prestigious PEN Pinter Prize 2023 for his "fearless" works that imparted "lessons in humanity". Rosen was also the Children's Laureate from 2007 to 2009 in the UK. Currently, he is a Professor of Children's Literature at Goldsmith, University of London. Here we list down some notable books by Michael Rosen which you give your child to read this year. 'We Are Going On A Bear Hunt'

This is one of Michael Rosen's best known book for children. Written by Rosen and illustrated by Helen Oxenbury, this is a story for hunters and bear-lovers. The book is aimed for children aged one to five years, however kids who are learning to read on their own would also enjoy reading this classic.

'Tiny Little Fly'

What happens when a tiny fly lands on the big nose of a poor elephant? This is a witty yet funny tale of how a fly stirs up an elephant. Written in Rosen's simple language, this is a fun tale that will bring joy to young readers as they read it aloud. Kevin Waldron’s beautiful illustrations make it it a fascinating read for kids in preschool and kindergarten.

As the title suggests, this is a beautifully illustrated rhyming story by Rosen about takeing a bus ride, which is for many different kinds of riders. Little kids would enjoy listening to this story.
