Penguin Random House UK has pledged to donate money as part of a fundraising campaign tied to
John Green’s latest book
Turtles All The Way Down. The money goes to the mental health charity Mind.
The publisher will donate £1 for every use of the hashtag #YourNowIsNotYourForever along with a gif or picture which is available on their website. They will donate up to £10,000 and they hope that the campaign will help "to spread the word far and wide to those who feel that their now IS forever."
The campaign is named for a line from John Greens latest book,
Turtles All The Way Down.
The bestselling book features a protagonist, Aza Holmes, who suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and anxiety, and at one point her mother reassures her by saying, "your now is not your forever". This line from Green's popular book has been chosen for fundraiser campaign hashtag to reassure those suffering mental illnesses that their pain doesn't have to be permanent.
Mind is a UK based organisation that provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They also campaign to improve services for those suffering from mental health and raise awareness and promote understanding of mental health problems and what to do about them.
