Though written over a 100 years ago Jane Austen's books are both relevant and popular today. Now a new audio-book of her book has released and it's recited by the famous actress Emma Thompson, who is an Austen fan.

Thompson has not only acted as Elinor in the movie adaptation of the book Sense and Sensibility but she also wrote it's script. The script won her the Academy Awards for Best Adapted Screenplay; on winning the award she even gave a speech on Jane Austen's perspective of the whole evening.

Emma won't be Thompson's first audio-book. She has recited other British tales like Nanny McPhee, The Big Bang, The Further Tales of Peter Rabbit and Austen's Northanger Abbey.

Emma was the last of Austen's books to be published during her lifetime. The book is about Emma, a beautiful and spoiled girl whom Austen described as "a heroine whom no one but myself will much like." However Emma was almost as popular as her other novels and her flawed character makes for a good coming of age story.
