Former US President Bill Clinton debuted as an author in 2018 when he co-authored his first novel 'The President is Missing' with thriller writer James Patterson. Now, news is that Bill Clinton is teaming up with James Patterson again for his second thriller titled 'The President's Daughter'.

The news was announced by their publisher Penguin Books UK on social media on May 21.

'The President's Daughter' is a standalone novel. The story follows a former US President who has moved to rural New Hampshire in order to live an anonymous life with his family. But things get out of control when his daughter is kidnapped.

Sharing the news, Clinton said in a statement, “I never imagined I’d be writing a book with a master storyteller like Jim, much less two. I was grateful for the success of the first book, and I believe readers will enjoy reading The President’s Daughter as much as I’m enjoying working on it."

"Working with @BillClinton has been a highlight of my career and I’m thrilled to have the chance to write with him again. I am pleased to announce our second novel, THE PRESIDENT’S DAUGHTER, and we can’t wait to get it in reader’s hands!," Patterson tweeted, commenting about writing a thriller with Clinton again.

Published by Century, 'The President's Daughter' will be released in June 2021.

Meanwhile, Clinton and Patterson's first book together 'The President is Missing' is being adapted into a TV series.
