News of 'Glee' star
Naya Rivera's untimely death on July 13 has shocked fans the world over. Now her co-star from the show and author of the popular 'The Land of Stories' books,
Chris Colfer has penned a heartfelt note in memory of the late actress.
A few days after her disappearance, Rivera's body was identified at Ventur County's Lake Piru. The late actress had gone there for boating with her son but in an unfortunate turn of events, she died by drowning while saving her four-year-old child.
A week ago, Chris Colfer had posted a picture of himself with Rivera on social media with the caption, "How can you convey all your love and respect for someone in one post? How can you summarize a decade of friendship and laughter with words alone? If you were friends with Naya Rivera, you simply can’t. Her brilliance and humor were unmatched. Her beauty and talent were otherworldly. She spoke truth to power with poise and fearlessness. She could turn a bad day into a great day with a single remark. She inspired and uplifted people without even trying. Being close to her was both a badge of honor and a suit of armor. Naya was truly one of a kind, and she always will be.
💔
Sending all my love to her wonderful family and her beautiful son."
Now in a new note Colfer shared about Rivera's multiple talents including telling "a whole story with one expression". The 30-year-old actor's lengthy piece was run by Variety, reports ANI. Colfer also wrote, "Being a mom was perhaps Naya's greatest talent of all, and as her final moments proved, Naya was an extraordinary mother until the very end".
A report by ANI reads: Earlier last week, several members of the show came together and held hands on the shore of Lake Piru, as a moving tribute to their co-star. On the other hand, to honour Rivera's legacy, the creators of American musical comedy series, Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and
Ian Brennan said they "are currently in the process of creating a college fund for the beautiful son Naya loved most of all."
