I got bikini wax done for the first time and this is what happened

Imagine paying money for getting hot wax poured on you private part! Well, that's precisely what happens when you go for bikini waxing (or Brazilian waxing) and the real reason why I had stayed away from the painful idea. After months of my parlour lady trying to convince me to go through the pain because it will be worth it, I gave in, perhaps to please her or because I was sick of saying 'No' to her 20 times in a row and here's an account of what happened next.

Though I am not someone who howls during the waxing sessions because it's become such a routine now, I still thought I would undergo a trial run before the big day. Understanding my concern, my parlour lady suggested me to get a test patch of Brazilian wax done on my underarms. She heated the wax and spread some of the golden liquid on my underarm. The wax dried up on its own in a few seconds and she caught hold of the dried wax to rip it off. Well, that was it. The experience was no different from the usual underarm waxing sessions. And, I became confident of what lay ahead.

Few days ahead of the bikini wax session, I decided to trim my crop down there to reduce the much-anticipated embarrassment. I opted for a woman's razor, like always.

It was time. The initial spread of hot wax on my bikini area was enough to freak me out, but I stuck my guns hoping to come out of it stronger and 'cleaner'. The wax started to dry and the parlour lady went for it. 1..2..3..ouch and more pain followed. Frankly speaking, it was one of the most excruciating pains I have ever experienced in my life and I swear I wanted to ask the lady to stop the thing right in the middle, but I kept on lying there. After a series of shrieks and eyes full of tears, we were done.

I did tell myself this was the last time I underwent the pain until I checked myself out. To my surprise, I had never felt that clean before in my entire life.

I was numb down there till a few minutes I walked out of the salon, but later I felt this stinging pain in the area. I tried to continue with my usual business, but the pain kept bothering me. By evening the pain had subsided, but there was slight swelling in the area. I decided to go for a warm shower and I am glad I thought of it because warm water brushing against my body provided an unsaid comfort and I was back to normal.

Well, no prizes for guessing the experience was terribly painful but I was definitely going to try this out again, perhaps a number of times because I felt clean, confident and beautiful and think every woman should try this for once to empathise with me.
