Deconstruct, a science-backed skincare brand that positions itself as approachable for beginners, has announced the return of its Skincare Internship Season 2, which is now open for applications. Following a first edition that captured nationwide attention, the internship returns with fresh perspectives while continuing Deconstruct’s mission to
normalise skincare as a simple, everyday habit.
The Deconstruct Skincare Internship Season 2 is open to anyone above the age of 18, with no prior skincare knowledge or experience. But why is this internship happening? The main idea is to encourage people to understand and follow skincare. It is also to make people realise that it is simple and when done consistently, it can make a big difference.
As part of the program, six selected interns will each receive a stipend of ₹1 lakh, along with personalised skincare routines and product kits tailored to individual skin types and concerns. The internship will be conducted remotely and will include guidance from skincare coaches. It will include sessions led by renowned dermatologists.
50 percent of the internship spots are reserved for male participants to ensure inclusivity. This challenges the perception that skincare is only for women. The program welcomes participants across genders, ages, and backgrounds.
While applications will be accepted exclusively via Unstop, interested participants can express intent after applying on LinkedIn by sharing their skincare routines, habits, and journeys or by tagging on Instagram, moving beyond traditional CVs.
In addition to the ₹1 lakh stipend, selected interns will receive social media features, access to expert-led dermatology sessions and an opportunity to be the face of the brand. The final cohort will comprise six participants, who will undertake a 30-day skincare-focused journey. Speaking about the return of the internship, Malini Adapureddy, Founder and CEO of Deconstruct, said, “The response to the first edition of the Skincare Internship exceeded our expectations and reaffirmed our belief that people are looking for science-led ways to begin their skincare journeys. That success encouraged us to bring back Season 2, while staying true to our goal of helping more people build healthier, more confident relationships with their skin, and reinforcing that skincare can be effective yet gentle.”
