Wash the amla thoroughly to remove any dirt or impurities.
Chop the amla into small pieces, removing the seeds.

Heat oil:

In a pan, heat the coconut oil or sesame oil on low heat.

Add amla:

Once the oil is warm, add the chopped amla pieces to the pan.

Simmer:

Allow the amla to simmer in the oil on low heat for about 20-25 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Check consistency:

Keep an eye on the mixture. When the amla pieces turn dark brown, and the oil takes on the aroma of amla, turn off the heat.

Cool and strain:

Let the oil cool to room temperature.
Strain the oil using a fine sieve or cheesecloth to separate the amla pieces from the oil. Squeeze out any remaining oil from the amla pieces.

Store:

Transfer the strained amla hair oil to a clean, dry container with a tight lid.

Application:

Apply the amla hair oil to your scalp and hair, massaging gently.
Leave the oil on for at least an hour, or preferably overnight.
Wash your hair with a mild shampoo.

Regular use:

For best results, use this amla hair oil regularly, at least once or twice a week.
