18 CRAZY beauty trends of 2018

Beauty world is always buzzing with new trends, but 2018 saw some very weird trends taking over. From nose hair extensions (yes, you read that right!) to bull sperm conditioner, women across the world indulged in a lot of experiments. While you might have heard of some for sure, we have curated a list of 18 craziest beauty fads of the year, 2018. Here's a look at them!

Flower vase hair

Girls love to obsess over their hair and a bunch of girls on Instagram made a new hairstyle very popular this year and believe it or not, it's called 'flower vase hair'. The style takes its inspiration from one of Beyonce's magazine cover shoots that had her flaunting her floral headwear which looked like a flower vase. And, since the cover went viral, girls across the world started trying out the trend which involves a bunch of flowers inserted in hair in an aesthetic way that makes the head look similar to a flower vase.

Corkscrew nails

So apparently, now you don't need to look for a corkscrew to open your favourite bottle of wine because you can do the honours with your nails, weird? Well, it is! All you need to do is paint your nails with acrylic nail paint and shape them in a pointed fashion. Then, take a small piece of plastic straw and position it under the tip of the nails and leave it to dry. Now, finish off with some nail glitter and build a spiral around the plastic straw.
4/19

Cactus massage

The trend that started in Mexico involves the masseur use the nopal paddies of a cactus plant to relieve the tired muscles of the person receiving the massage. Well, before you jump to a conclusion - the cactus is definitely de-seeded before the massage begins. It apparently removes toxins from the body.

Mayonnaise facepack

If you love mayonnaise in your sandwich, you are going to find it hard to digest the fact that now can actually apply some of that sandwich spread on your face. Since mayo is rich in eggs and oils, it is the perfect natural skin hydrator. No only does it improve the texture of the skin, but also preserves skin's moisture.
6/19

Fire facial

Women love to play with fire, don't they? And, now they are trying out fire facials! Chinese beauty salons are using open flames to regenerate cells for a young look. It only takes a towel soaked in alcohol to be put over the face and set to fire.
This apaprently treats wrinkles.
7/19

Nude eyelashes

Well, a beauty blogger tried this look and it went viral on Instagram. All you need to do is use some compact powder or some foundation liquid and apply it to the eyelashes with a brush.
8/19

Nose hair extensions

An Instagrammer tried sticking eyelashes to her nostrils and rest is history. Would you dare to try this trend?
9/19

Penis eyebrows

We don't even know why it's a trend, but it is one. It's just about painting your brows in a way that they look like a man's tool.
10/19

Bull sperm conditioner

Believe it or not, some cosmetic giants have started using bull sperm in hair conditioners because of its ability to soften the hair. Eeww, but true.
11/19

Glitter mask

Glitter peel-off masks are trending because they leave the skin soft, thanks to the glycerine and charcoal present in them.
12/19

Chain eyes

An Instagrammer used fancy gold chain and stuck them over/below her eyes with some glue. It was risque but so cool.
13/19

Anime make-up

Remember Avatar? Well, this one comes close. Apparently, anime make-up is a thing!
14/19

Face graffiti

Anything that catches attention becomes cool. Well, some Instagrammers are painting their faces with cool graffiti and it is a trend.
15/19

Lip tattoo

Lip tattoo is a thing and you just have to stick a temporary tattoo to your lips.
16/19

Halo brows

Created by a 16-year-old Instagrammer, Hannah Lyne, the brow is a halo that spans from one's eyebrows.
17/19

Unicorn hair

It's a trend of colouring hair in the colours of a unicorn and it's surely rocking the internet.
18/19

Ant body wash

Since ants contain high levels of formic acid, this body wash is considered to be the most revitalising body wash ever.
19/19

Urine acne buster

Urine is said to have natural healing and anti-bacterial properties and hence it heals acne in a way you can't even imagine. Women across the globe are dabbing a few drops of their urine on their acne affected faces and it's working, at least that's what they claim!
