Brown sugar serves as an additional exfoliant, aiding in removing dead skin cells and promoting circulation. It also imparts a natural sweetness to the mask.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil is a moisturizing ingredient that helps balance the exfoliating effect of coffee and sugar. It leaves the skin hydrated and supple.

Honey

Renowned for its antibacterial and antioxidant properties, honey adds a soothing element to the mask. It also contributes to a glowing complexion.

Essential oils

Consider adding a few drops of essential oils like lavender or tea tree oil for a pleasant fragrance and additional skin benefits.

Method

Gather your ingredients

Measure two tablespoons of finely ground coffee, one tablespoon of brown sugar, one tablespoon of coconut oil, and one tablespoon of honey.

Mixing the ingredients

In a bowl, combine the coffee grounds, brown sugar, coconut oil, and honey.
Stir the mixture thoroughly until all the ingredients are well incorporated.

Consistency check

Adjust the quantities if needed to achieve a spreadable yet slightly grainy consistency. The mixture should be thick enough to adhere to the skin without being too runny.

Optional essential oils

If you choose to add essential oils, incorporate a few drops into the mixture and stir well. Essential oils not only contribute to the fragrance but also provide additional skincare benefits.

Application

Before applying the mask, cleanse your face to remove any makeup or impurities.
Gently pat your face dry with a clean towel.
Apply the coffee exfoliation mask evenly to your face, avoiding the delicate eye area.

Massage and exfoliate

Using circular motions, gently massage the mask into your skin. The coffee grounds and brown sugar will work as natural exfoliants, sloughing away dead skin cells.

Leave on and relax

Allow the mask to sit on your face for 10-15 minutes. Use this time to relax and let the nourishing ingredients work their magic.

Rinse off

After the designated time, rinse off the mask with lukewarm water.
Pat your face dry with a clean towel.

Moisturise

Follow up with your favorite moisturizer to lock in the hydration.
