Road safety drive by BSF from Sept 3

JODHPUR: BSF will launch special road safety drive on Sept 3. During this drive, radium reflectors will be pasted on all civil vehicles by BSF persons of Ftr HQrs, 04 Sectors Headquarter Sriganganagar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer (N), Jaisalmer (S) and all 14 Battalions from Srigangannagar to Jaisalmer bordering areas. Every year thousands of people are killed in road accident especially during night hours. Non-availability of reflector on the vehicles is one of the main reasons for the accident, said Mehgwal. Radium reflectors at 20 places of border district of Sriganganagar, Bikaner and Jaisalmer are being planned by the troops of Border Security Force. In this sequence the pasting work of Radium reflector will be organized by Ftr HQ BSF Jodhpur (Rajasthan) at Arna-Jharna, Circle, Jaisalmer bypass, Badli Fanta Tiraha Jodhpur from 0900 hrs onwards on September 3. Special funds to all sector Headquarters/Battalions has been allotted for the purpose, he said. These radium reflectors are very useful to vehicles drivers especially during night hours. This drive would be repeated again keeping in view of its requirement in future also, he said.
