Work on health infrastructure projects: Centre to states

NEW DELHI: The Centre on Friday nudged states and Union territories to expedite implementation of health infrastructure projects and ensure funds allocated to them are being utilised efficiently and timely, reports Sushmi Dey.

Besides, the states were also asked to focus on expanding coverage of National Dialysis Programme in all districts across the country.

In a review meeting with states and UTs, health secretary Rajesh Bhushan advised mapping of physical and financial progress under National Health Mission (NHM), Emergency Covid Response Package (ECRP)-II, Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM), 15th Finance Commission grants & Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Programme (PM-NDP).

States were asked to identify physical facilities and complete the mapping exercise on NHM-Progress Monitoring System (PMS) portal at the earliest.
