Woman, son knocked down by car in Dehra Dun
A woman and her minor son were killed after being run over by a car near Chief Minister's residence.
Sunita Rana (29) and her one and her son Ashu died on the spot when the car allegedly being driven by the 23-year-old daughter of a Dehra Dun-based businessman hit them on Thursday evening, DIG (Garhwal) RS Meena said.
He said the driver of the vehicle Kanchi Batta, who also sustained injuries in the accident, was arrested in this connection.
Another woman Pushpa, who was seriously injured, was battling for her life, he said.
The impact of the accident was so strong that both the woman and her child were tossed up in the air and thrown 200 feet away from the site of the accident, he added.
