HYDERABAD: Union home minister Amit Shah on Saturday said that when the NDA govt comes back to power at the Centre under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the country would take back PoK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir).
Lok Sabha polls in Telangana will be held on May 13.
Amit Shah was speaking at an election meeting for BJP’s candidate K Vishweshwar Reddy from Chevella LS constituency, and made the remarks in response to Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar’s statement that Pakistan had the nuclear bomb and therefore a cautious approach had to be taken against it.
The union home minister said people like former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Farooq Abdullah and Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar were talking about showing respect to Pakistan because they are a nuclear power. “Does not Kashmir belong to us? We will act decisively and take PoK,” he said.
Amit Shah also scoffed at Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy’s remarks that the surgical strike on Pakistan land ‘did not even kill a crow’. “Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi’s swift decision resulted in terrorists being targetted in Pakistan in the surgical strike,” he said.
