Why I don’t want to be in Omar Abdullah’s shoes

The one pair of shoes I definitely don’t want to be in are those of former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and National Conference (NC) vice-president Omar Abdullah’s.
I have had the occasion of meeting him and writing about him for several years — decades, in fact — and as he threw his hat into the electoral ring, I couldn’t help but think of how difficult and unenvious a space he is in now.
