Ahead of the no-confidence motion against the Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, Rashtriya Janata Dal Rajya Sabha member Manoj Jha talks to TOI+ on the situation in Manipur, the no-confidence motion and PM Narendra Modi.

Q: Why is the Opposition insistent on asking the Prime Minister to speak in Parliament on Manipur?
Manoj Jha: There is something called precedent and tradition in parliamentary democracy, when there is a crisis in one of the counties in England, the British PM comes and speaks; so is the case with the United States and has been consistently the case in India.
