The upcoming Bollywood film "Doctor G" has triggered a conversation around male gynaecologists, a fast-shrinking tribe in India. Three practising male doctors in this lopsided medical speciality speak up about their trials and triumphs

“How do I treat something that I don’t have?” asks a bewildered Uday Gupta, a medical student who aspires to become an orthopaedic but is forced to settle for the stree-rog vibhaag (gynaecology department) in a medical college in Bhopal.

“If the neighbours find out that you look at women’s vaginas what will they think?” asks his indignant mom.
