The BJP has fielded Milan Ghosh from Samserganj seat and Sujit Das from Jangipur. Meanwhile, the Congress said that it will not field any candidate against Mamata in Bhabanipur.

-Tibrewal is one of the petitioners in the post-poll violence cases against the TMC government in the Calcutta high court.
-Tibrewal is handling a wide range of cases including the Raniganj riot case and the Purulia murder case.
-She played a crucial role in the recent post-poll violence incidents in West Bengal -- bringing up the cases to the Calcutta high court seeking justice for the murder of Abhijeet Sarkar.
