BENGALURU: Disha Ravi’s family refused to speak when TOI visited her

house

in Abbigere locality in

Chikkabanavara

suburb of Bengaluru on Sunday. The family’s German Shepherd is coming in handy to keep mediapersons at bay. When contacted over phone, Disha’s mother Manjula Ravi said: “We know what’s happening. We don’t want to speak to media at this juncture.”

Disha’s house was the first to be built in the locality around five years ago, recalls a shopowner in the neighbourhood. Another neighbour called around 6pm saying she saw Disha being taken in one of the cars but we never realised that she had been arrested by Delhi Police.”

A shopkeeper recalled Disha visiting him for bread, snacks and chocolates. “The dog always accompanied her. I don’t know anything about her arrest or the case,” he said.
