NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the arrival of a new member at his residence on Lok Kalyan Marg on Saturday. The new addition to the Prime Minister's household is a healthy calf, born to a mother cow already living at the premises.
The calf bears a unique mark on its forehead, resembling a symbol of light. In recognition of this distinctive feature, Prime Minister Modi chose to name the calf 'Deepjyoti'. The Prime Minister shared his thoughts on the auspicious event, quoting from the scriptures: "Gaav: Sarvasukha Prada:".
"There has been a auspicious arrival of a new member in the Prime Minister Housing Family on Lok Kalyan Marg. In the Prime Minister's residence, the beloved mother cow has given birth to a new calf, which has a symbol of light on its forehead. Hence, I have named it ‘Deepjyoti’," said PM Modi in post on X (formerly Twitter) along with a video of the 'new arrival.
In the video posted, PM Modi can be seen welcoming the newborn calf with prayers and affection. The footage captures the Prime Minister petting and playing with the young one, even planting gentle kisses on its forehead. The video concludes with PM Modi holding the calf and taking a stroll through the garden of his residence.
