Waqf bill gets President's assent
President Droupadi Murmu Saturday gave her assent to waqf bill that paved way for its notification as an Act. The bill was passed in Parliament over Thursday and Friday in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, respectively. With this, the bill has become a law. Govt will now have to frame the rules, elaborating on the implementation process of provisions of the law.
