Villagers boycott polls against non-development in Jharkhand

Voters of three polling booths in Dumka and Godda Lok Sabha constituencies on Thursday decided not to vote in protest against alleged non-development of their areas.

DUMKA (Jharkhand): Voters of threepolling booths in Dumka and Godda Lok Sabha constituencies on Thursday decidednot to vote in protest against alleged non-development of their areas.According to the Returning Officer of Dumka Lok Sabha seat, PrashantKumar, the voters of two booths under Dumka constituency and one in Godda loksabha seat have not reached their respective booth numbers---209, 99 and 150.The protesting voters are from Naunihaat under Godda Lok Sabha seatand Dumka's Tharhi and Taposi, he said. Polling for the twoconstituencies began at 7 am.
