Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday announced to increase financial assistance from Rs 10 to Rs 20 lakh to be given to family of Mohammad Ikhlaq, who was lynched for allegedly eating beef in Bisada village of Dadri, Gautambudhnagar.
After reviewing the situation at a meeting held in his office, Yadav said that nobody involved in the incident will be spared.
He said that the government is committed to time bound and fair probe. He assured that all steps will be taken to prevent such incidents from occurring in future.

Naik termed it a heart rending incident and said he was confident that the state would overcome the situation.

Danish was critically injured by a 200-strong mob which had barged into their house on Monday night following rumours that the family had consumed beef.
