US intel chief Gabbard in India for key security meeting today
NEW DELHI: US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard arrived on Sunday to participate in a high-level security and intelligence conference being chaired by NSA Ajit Doval. The conference seeks to boost counter-terrorism and intelligence-sharing cooperation among the participating countries.
Gabbard is the first high-level Trump administration official to visit India since Donald Trump's return to the White House. Both sides remain in touch to finalise a visit by Vice President J D Vance next month. During her three-day visit to India, Gabbard will address the Raisina Dialogue that begins on Monday.
Gabbard is likely to call on PM Modi during her visit. Modi had met her during his visit to Washington last month.
