Uri terror attack: Terrorists were in their 20s, wore close cropped hair like Armymen

SRINAGAR: Three of the four terrorists who attacked the 12th Brigade headquarters at Uri on Sunday were clean-shaven and wore close cropped hair to help their disguise as Army personnel .

Investigating agencies in Srinagar have questioned at least three Uri shepherds over suspicion that they had harboured the terrorists before the attack. The agencies also recovered a GPS set with pre-fed coordinates of two locations — Galwama and Rafiabad, Muzaffarabad — at least 6km from the LoC, sources said. “The water level of the Jhelum is low and offshoots of the river are plenty. They were aware of the riverine conditions and being briefed about troop movements,” said a senior IB official.
