'Up to Congress brass': Navjot Singh Sidhu on return to active politics
AMRITSAR: Following the recovery of his wife Navjot Kaur from cancer, cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu resumed his political activities after a long gap.
On Thursday, Sidhu, accompanied by his wife, Navjot Kaur, held a press meet at their Amritsar home. When asked about his return to active politics, Sidhu said the Congress brass would answer that question. He said that while doing comedy shows, laughter challenges, and playing cricket, he has always remained true to his principles. He emphasised that he would fulfil any duty assigned by the party's high command and reaffirmed that he had never left Amritsar.
Sidhu said if he couldn't manage his family, he would be incapable of bringing justice to the world. He stressed that everyone around him is like family, with his primary focus being taking care of his wife during her illness. He said he will consider himself fortunate if even 10% of people draw inspiration from his journey. On her cancer journey, Sidhu underscored the need to have a healthy lifestyle and shared tips on how to prevent cancer. tnn
