NEW DELHI: The home ministry has recommended suspension of eight Twitter accounts, including that of separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani.

), @arsched (Arshad Sharif), @mscully94 (Mary Scully), @sageelaniii (Syed Ali Shah Geelani), @sadaf2k19, @RiazKha61370907 and RiazKha723. IT ministry officials said the recommendations were under the IT Act as the handles were “engaging in an anti-India campaign on Kashmir and Article 370”.

Twitter said, “We don’t comment on individual accounts for privacy and security reasons.”
